چکیده
Emblica officinalis (Amla) is a plant that not widely utilized in Bali, but it has tremendous potential. This study aims to investigate the antioxidant and anti-dyslipidemia potential of Amla. Literature search was conducted on Pubmed, Scopus, Science Direct, followed by screening review match inclusion exclusion criteria. The resulted 346 articles, after reviewing titles, keywords, abstracts, 12 articles met criteria were obtained. findings indicate strong preventing or addressing cardiovascular disorders such as atherosclerosis due its abilities agent.

Phytochemical and Toxicity Study of Emblica Officinalis (amla)
In the present study, phytochemistry and toxicities (acute and chronic) of Emblica officinalis fruit (Amla) have been determined. The hydroalcoholic extract (HAE) of amla was prepared and its extractability was found to be 46.9%. Different chemical tests showed the presence of various active principles or phytoconstituents, viz., alkaloids, glycosides, reducing sugars, tannins, resins, saponins...
متن کاملAntioxidant activity of active tannoid principles of Emblica officinalis (amla).
The antioxidant activity of tannoid active principles of E. officinalis consisting of emblicanin A (37%), emblicanin B (33%), punigluconin (12%) and pedunculagin (14%), was investigated on the basis of their effects on rat brain frontal cortical and striatal concentrations of the oxidative free radical scavenging enzymes, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GP...
متن کاملAmelioration of alcohol-induced oxidative stress by Emblica officinalis (amla) in rats.
The present study was aimed at investigating the ameliorative effect of Emblica (Phyllanthus Emblica L) fruit extract (EFE) against alcohol-induced oxidative changes in plasma biochemical profile in rats. Alcohol administration (5 g/kg body wt/day) for 60 days resulted in significantly (P<0.05) higher levels of plasma nitrite/nitrate (NOx), total bilirubin, creatinine, and abnormalities in lipi...
متن کاملAmla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) prevents dyslipidaemia and oxidative stress in the ageing process.
Amla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) is widely used in Indian medicine for the treatment of various diseases. We have investigated the effects of amla on the lipid metabolism and protein expression involved in oxidative stress during the ageing process. SunAmla or ethyl acetate extract of amla, a polyphenol-rich fraction, was administered at a dose of 40 or 10 mg/kg body weight per d for 100 d to...
متن کاملInfluence of amla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) on hypercholesterolemia and lipid peroxidation in cholesterol-fed rats.
The effects of amla on low-density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation and cholesterol levels were investigated in vitro and in vivo using Cu(2+)-induced LDL oxidation and cholesterol-fed rats. SunAmla and ethyl acetate (EtOAc) extract of amla significantly inhibited thiobarbituric acid (TBA)-reactive substance level in the Cu(2+)-induced LDL oxidation and the effects were stronger than those of probuc...
